Job Role

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Sell company products and services to current and  potential customers to achieve individual and company targets ensuring customer relationship is maintained.
  • With awareness of the current market values prepare quotations using the most cost effective method that will secure the order and maintain profit.
  • Follow up on quotations to secure the order and collect feedback for future quotations
  • Liaise with external representatives to develop new leads that they generate
  • Gain market knowledge, research and identify new opportunites and feed these back to the sales administrator.
  • Ensure that the accounts department  are given the correct details to open new accounts
  • Raise sales orders taking care to ensure that all the details are correct ,stock checked and instructions raised if material is required.
  • Liaise with production to agree delivery dates and be aware of current lead times
  • Raise NCR report for all customer complaint and ensure that they are all logged on the system
  • Monitor customers complains and ensure that they are dealt with in the appropriate manor to the customer/companies satisfaction
  • Liaise with other departments, team members, managers to implement companies goals and policies
  • Maintain Health & Safety standards set by the company
  • Work well within a team environment
  • Willingness to carry out any reasonable sales or non sales related tasks requested by their line manager


Key performance indicators

  • Monthly sales target.
  • New accounts opened



Experience / Requirements

Person Specification


  • Understand the laser cut process
  • Sales and estimating experience
  •  2d CAD & nesting experience
  • Computer skills – Microsoft packages
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship skills
  • Numeracy & literacy skills
  • Good market awareness
  • Good product knowledge
  • Attention to detail
  • Energetic and proactive approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and to timescales



  • Knowledge of the break press process
  • CAM quoting/ nesting software experience
    (Lantek, Trutops, By-soft and Radan)




CONTRACT: Permanent
SALARY: £25,000 – £30,000
