Maintenance Engineer
Job Outline
We are recruiting for a well-established engineering company that specialises in structural metal and welding/fabrication for an experienced Maintenance Engineer

Job Role
- Continuous running of equipment and machinery.
- Overseeing routine maintenance and organising repairs.
- Being involved with the control and monitoring devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items.
- Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly
- Control maintenance stores, tools, and equipment
- Diagnose breakdown problems.
- Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs
- Arrange Specialist procurement of fixtures fittings and components
- Ensuring software/operating systems are kept updated.
- Carrying out quality inspections.
- Reactive and preventative maintenance
Experience / Requirements
- Good communication skills as you will be required to lead a team and liaise with suppliers
- To understand a range of engineering functions and procedures diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Confident in working under pressure and completing tasks within deadlines
- People management from skills from internal staff to customers
- Will be required to travel between sites and work at times unsociable hours.
- Understanding of specialist equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLC)
- Be able to write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
- Follow Health and Safety guidelines
- 3+ previous maintenance experience in an engineering environment would be advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications would also be advantageous.
