Advanced Recruit are pleased to be recruiting for a UK leading specialist supplier and machinists of aluminium and stainless-steel materials within the Wolverhampton area. Our client are involved in markets such as construction, lighting, rail & automotive and have therefore been very busy throughout the past 12 months.

The primary focus of the company is aluminium extrusions and with fast emerging new markets such as the HS2, electric vehicles and the need for sustainable energy efficient building projects aluminium demand is ever increasing thus the need for expansion.

Job Role

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicate information to internal staff regarding potential business opportunities, product profile, expected volume, market size, competitiveness of market and unique job specifications.
  • Call on existing key accounts to determine new or changing product requirements and business opportunities.
  • Present customer specifications to internal team to develop existing business and prepare quotes
  • Attend meetings with internal staff to further develop business and gain product knowledge.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures and finds methods to improve efficiency.
  • Keep up to date with stock situation and management
  • Basic purchasing and keeping tabs on global supply chain
  • Overseeing machining projects internally and managing sub-contract operations
  • Keep up to date with latest industry and product updates
  • Managing credit limits of customers and liaising with commercial team.
  • Price discussions and negotiations with new and assisting clients.
  • Educating Business Development staff on the company’s products and services, so good product knowledge required.
  • Cultivate new relationships, and deepen existing relationships using companies various account products
  • Deliver best practices in customer service, sales and client retention
  • Oversee relationship responsibilities within the RIA channel
  • Train new staff as and when required on product knowledge and accounts managed.
  • Identifying and building relationships with current Accounts
  • Identifying and fostering leads for Business Development team

Experience / Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Technical or industrial background ideal but not essential.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service and interdepartmental management.
  • Ability to travel if required.
  • You will not be targeted on new business gained for this role!
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to be forward thinking and think on feet
  • Ability to create excellent working relationships with current clients, suppliers and internal team.
  • Support sales and business development staff as and when required with administration and other related duties.

Education and Work Requirements:

  • Previous Account Management experience preferred however also willing to consider graduates who want a career in manufacturing or can show some sort of industrial/engineering placements.
  • Specific industry and material training will be given.

SALARY: £28,000
