Advanced Recruit Ltd is a new forward-thinking recruitment company based in Wolverhampton science park supplying staff to the Construction, engineering and manufacturing industries.
Are you an estimator with a strong sheet metal / Fabrication or architectural background specifically handrails or balustrades?
Advanced Recruit is excited to be working on behalf of their national client with an office based in central Wolverhampton, we are recruiting for a skilled and experienced estimator with an extensive architectural background specifically Balustrades & handrails.
Job Role
- Prequalify each enquiry, understanding budget requirements
- Utilise Glenigans to determine critical information i.e. full tender list/ programme timescales/ traditional or D&B contract
- Utilise Glenigans for mailouts within parameters of GDPR
- Enter new enquiries and margins into CSI and keep data up to date once priced (business system)
- Trapping branch enquiries
- Plan work with an awareness of quotation return dates and any urgent quotations/revisions
- Preparation of estimates and copy quotes
- Preparation of pricing tenders/bill of quantities
- Revision of quotes where required
- Update team when new orders are received and handover orders to contracts team, advising on terms and obligations, agreed program, key contacts, etc
- To identify and pursue selling opportunities with the customer on all enquiries received
- Collate and present reports to enable strategy and target planning
- Keep un-awarded chase up to date and assist with awarded OTS chase when required
Experience / Requirements
- A comprehensive level of product knowledge to be able to advise the customer and ensure the right product for their need
- Estimating experience (preferably have knowledge of quoting bill of quantities)
- IT skills
- Understanding of architectural drawings
- Strong numeracy skills
- Commercial and financial awareness
- Background in construction/manufacturing industries advantageous
- Impeccable communication/customer service skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Assertive under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable
- Good problem-solving ability
- A positive can-do attitude and desire to be part of a fast-growing company.
